Ingredients- 1 cup green lentils (brown) soaked overnight
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp of sugar
Direction
Boil lentils in pressure cooker with very little water and drain excess water. Cook rice in rice cooker with cumin, salt, bay leaves and oil.
When rice is done add cooked lentils to it. Fry onions in little oil till brown with pinch of sugar and salt.
Garnish rice with onions and serve hot!
