Ingredients- 1 can of Delmonte Organic diced tomatoes (blended in food processor)
- ½ spoon dried chopped onions (Kirkland®) available in Costco
- ½ spoon dried garlic powder (Kirkland granulated California garlic)
- ½ tsp Basil (McCormick®)
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning (McCormick)
- ½ tsp Cayenne pepper Tone’s®
- 4 cubes of butter nut squash
- 4 baby carrots
- 2 whole Bay leaves (Trade East, available in GFS)
- A pinch of Fine ground Malabar black pepper (Kirkland)
- ½ tsp extra virgin olive oil (Kirkland)
- 1 tsp "Sugar in the Raw"® (Turbeinado sugar)
- ½ tsp Mediterranean Sea Salt (Kirkland)
Directions
Heat 1 tsp Extra Virgin olive oil then add onion, garlic, Bay leaves, tomatoes, salt, cayenne peppers, Italian seasoning, basil, sugar, black pepper.
Also boil butter nut squash (or Birds Eye® in frozen section) and carrots and blend it well with a hand blender.
Add to the pasta sauce-cook well.
Add choice of berled pasta to sauce use whole grain pasta preferably.
Tips – You can make the sauce and store in a small container (glass) in your refrigerator. Use one container at a time; stays good for 7 days-10days
